• These types of strainers are named after their shape and normally used for course filtration but with large filtration area can be used with fine mesh also .Body of Y strainer is normally of cast iron, cast carbon steel or stainless steel in various material grades with flanged end, threaded available with high filtration area and less pressure drop.
• Strainer body meets ASME B16.5
• 304 SS or 316SS mesh screens are standard. Perforated plate screen are optional.
• Drain/Blow-off connection furnished with plug as standard.
• Generous screen area and proportioned straining chamber to minimize initial pressure drop while maximizing between cleanings.
• Compact end to end dimension.
• Y Strainer Standard sizes from 2” – 36”. Larger sizes available.
• Y Strainer Available with RF or RTJ flanged (ASME 16.5) or Buttweld (ASME B16.9) end connections.
• Y Strainer Standard through bolt cover design.
• Y Strainer Custom designs are available.
• Perforated screens are standard.
• Y Strainer May be installed in horizontal pipelines.
• Y Strainers designed to meet the requirements of ASME B31.3 and / or ASME Section VIII , Div. I.
• Y Strainer Drain is standard and is complete with plug.

Y Type Strainers feature bottom removal of the screen.

High Capacity flow through out full size In-let / Out-let connection with large Flow Filtration area to minimize Pressure Drop and screen chocking problems.

The cover is connected to the Body with Nuts & Studs and the filter screen is readily accessible and easily exchangeable.

The Y-Strainer are equipped with a blow off port.

A ball valve can be fitted to flush debris that is easily removable from the screen and exhaust to atmosphere or a drain system.

This feature allows for easy cleaning without interrupting the process. Various Perforations, Mesh or Perforation Mesh combinations or Wedge Wire screens are available to meet your process requirements.

Y type Strainer Strainers are used in application for Industrial use and are provided with most modern design and construction, in accordance with the latest requirement of National & International standards. These Strainers are recommended for most types of Industrial Applications, ideal for HVAC & R Systems, Petrochemicals, Textiles, Agriculture, etc

Y Strainers screens having 1/8” perforated type 304,316,DSS,Monel stainless steel on sizes 1/2” to 24”. Other perforation, meshes and materials are available upon request.

Y Strainer Standard units are Casted and fabricated with slip-on flanges in standard pressure classes up to 2500lb. Other flange styles and welded connections are available per your specifications.

Y Strainers Fabricated to ASME B31.3 and /or ASME Section Viii , Div. 1. Latest Revision.

• Y Strainers Available in sizes ½” through 36”. Larger sizes available.
• Pressure ratings are ANSI 125# through ANSI 2500#.
